MikroTik RADIUS Setup

Connecting your MikroTik router to HotspotSaaS allows you to authenticate user sessions using the industry-standard RADIUS protocol.

WinBox Commands

Open WinBox, open the Terminal, and paste the following configuration blocks. Replace YourSharedRADIUSSecret with the secret provided in your tenant settings panel:

/radius add service=hotspot address=radius.hotspot.com secret="YourSharedRADIUSSecret"
/ip hotspot profile set [ find default=yes ] use-radius=yes login-by=http-pap
/ip hotspot user profile set [ find default=yes ] idle-timeout=15m keepalive-timeout=none

RADIUS Accounting

Make sure to keep accounting enabled so that HotspotSaaS can monitor user data usage and automatically kick users off the network when they exhaust their voucher limits.
